The panel of expert judges has been at work evaluating the top ten entries and preparing to name the winner of the special prize. The winner behind the work of art which best has fit their evaluation criteria – originality, consistency with the Ducati image and the best interpretation of the spirit of the Monster as an icon of style in the motorcycling world – will be awarded with an original, signed Monster design sketch.
So thanks to all the jurors, who have so willingly given their time and been so enthusiastically involved in this art project, for electing the overall winner.
The Special Prize goes, finally, to:

Job title: Product Manager (Monster, Multistrada, Sportclassic)
About me:
I’m responsible for the launch of new products and managing their life cycle (for example, I co-ordinated the Monster ART project). So what do I do in practice? I have to act as a go-between for the design and marketing departments, acting as an interpreter between the two different languages, without losing sight of market trends. In other words, mission impossible!
Before working in the Product Marketing department I conceived and coordinated the Fisica in Moto (www.fisicainmoto.it) laboratory. I currently ride a Monster 1100, which I’m always using Colour Therapy on, turning it from black to Blu Italia blue, Verde Tricolore green and Lilla Glamour lilac, and I can’t wait to fit the winning cover from this contest onto it.

There was never a doubt that the Ducati Community was composed of passionate and creative individuals, but when I saw the variety and qualify of the pieces produced for the Monster ART Contest Club I was really excited: reality exceeds imagination!
Each of the different interpretations created by the Clubs respects the style of the Monster, a motorcycling icon that becomes art, an extension of the rider’s personality. The pieces are all beautiful but I would like to mention two that I particularly like but that haven’t had the success they deserved.
The first is the Desmopera, created by a Siena-based club, probably because it reminds me of my beloved Tuscany, and because of the contrast between the classic graphic and the modern bike; for me it deserved to do better. The second, which is also my favourite, is Detroit Tribal: a fantastic interpretation of the Monster concept. Well done Mr. Aminski!

Undoubtedly a great experience.
The contestants have created some interesting work and deciding on a winner among the finalists was not easy. This contest, with participants from around the world, is a clear example of the interest and passion that people have for Ducati.

Job title: Project engineer
About me: Who is a project engineer? A very complex character who ranges between the design, purchasing, style, sales, production, logistics and quality control departments. He is responsible for the project, the person who knows everything about the bike, who follows its development from the first design sketches to its rolling off the production line.
He said about this contest...
This competition has given clients a great opportunity to personalize their Monsters and to get them seen on a worldwide scale through Ducati’s web site. Monster, deep down, is also about personalization.
With regard to the winner, as voted by the jury, I believe the piece to be a great reflection of the Ducati brand and I also like the fluorescent effect.
A contest that we should definitely repeat in the future!
